Meetings are open to all members of the public. No need to be affiliated with the church.
What Are Meetings Like?
Meeting activities vary from week to week depending on the needs and wants of the group.
Usually, we have some dedicated writing time. A writing prompt or two are given for the writing time and you’re free to use the prompt or work on your own project during the time.
Other activities that might happen during a meeting include (but are not limited to):
- Critiques
- Presentations
- Workshopping
- General discussion about writing, editing, publishing, etc
- Book Club Discussions
While a large number of folks writer science fiction and fantasy, we’ve had writers from just about every genres come to meetings. Memoirs, romance, historical fiction, poetry, screen plays, and many more.
You also don’t have to have written anything in the past to come and check out the group. The only requirement is that you want to write something!
